Yep, although I will say that I played Gen 6 the least of any of the generations. One play through of each basically. I can't even tell you how many times I've played Red, Blue, Yellow, Fire Red, Leaf Green, and Soul Silver though. I wish pokemon had multiple save files...

Go through all of your games starting from Gen 4, transfer them up to Gen 6 one poke each (aka become Noah of Pokemon), breed those who can be bred and get one of each of every poke. Upload them into Poke Bank and when the next game comes out, move them all to the new game and start with a full Pokedex.
Then, all you have to do is capture the new pokes every new Gen. And replace the old pokes with the shiny ones.
I still have my shiny bred team who has 5/6 IVs on them, some of which have hidden abilities too.

I haven't really done any breeding before and I restart the games so much I doubt any of my files have much on them. Poke Bank even costs money, doesn't it?
I'm more of a start fresh, name my rival *** face, win the pokemon league/save the world, then restart game type of person.

Which I still have....all of them at level 1.....
Took a couple of months to breed/exp/catch them all, and trade for the few I was missing, but I managed to get them.

It's super easy to get shinies in ORAS using the DexNav's Search function to encounter the same Pokemon over and over again (increasing the rate of finding ones that are shiny/have better stats/have hidden abilities).

I really hope HM's someday in the main pokémon games become a machine or something you can equip with modules.
Or even better: one machine that can do everything. From cut till waterfall. Also flash, rock smash and rock climb. Everything you need.
Then you can just have your team of 6 pokémon without ever having to trade in a slot or two.
The actual HM moves can be worked into several movesets of pokémon. Some pokémon already learn HM's through leveling anyway (Goldeen, Salamence, Venipede).
While we are on the subject of pokémon...

Found an apartment at 5PM yesterday just before they were closing for the day. Fill out paperwork last night, go to turn it in at noon the next day and there's a person sitting right in front of me that put a deposit on it before even looking at it because they said I would be coming in to put the deposit down.

People can be vindictive. Apartment shopping for currently available units can be stressful as hell. Stay vigilant.
I wouldn't care that much if I was just casually apartment shopping but since I got basically bullied out of my previous apartment and am now living with my parents who I really can't deal with for more than a day it's pretty *** soulcrushing. ***I was already having a terrible day before this happened.
I think the only shiny I've ever had is the force fed shiny in Silver, aka, RED GYARADOS!!!

My battle team is all Shiny. 5-6IV Pokemon: Gengar, Kangaskhan, Milotic, Gardevoir, Greninja, Umbreon.
