Basically one chooses which banners to pull on.

I should stop buying gems (have done 3x now) but I probably will again when there's an item I want. (Only one pull out of those 9 got me something I wanted, but I did manage to use leftovers to increase my inventory, so there's that).

Check http://ffrk.kongbakpao.com/events/ to see what events are coming up.
Save for one you like the look of more than the others.
Between the events before the one you want and any story dungeons you have left, plus login bonuses, it's not hard to save up at least one 50 pull for stuff you really want.

I'm hoarding mythril for the Advent Children event now. Should have a decent stash by the time it comes around.

More important than ever with these new misfortune fights. Although as far as I know there won't be one of the OP relics coming until the Kefka event basically.

Just want to formally apologize for not having things ready for all of you in a timely manner. The holidays and the new year alike were a total mess for me. Not by any means terrible, but simply a lot to take in and deal with. I'll be working on aggregating and updating everything all week long, and if all goes well, will be available to you all by the weekend. No promises though.

Hope FFIX comes on steam sooner rather then later.

For the record the fast forward does not effect the timer in-game in FFVII so it might actually be super easy to get Excalibur II this time if you use the 3x speed.

Doing a replay of 9 atm and I wish the steam version was on PS3. Would love remastered CG cutscenes (character models aren't that bad)

Thats what i don't like, that people have wierd fan girliness towards my voice. Which makes me sad....
