Turned on my DnD group
My father was playing a Dragonborn and he was the last of his species after the tribe he was in was ambushed and slaughtered by Orcs. Well, he thought he was the last of his species, anyway. Because of this, my father's character was naturally livid towards every Orc and he wanted nothing but to kill every Orc he could find.
So at one point, our party was looking for one thing or another and my character could sense that we were coming up on the actual true last tribe of living Dragonborn. I found this out before him, so I decided to pull the wool over his eyes and make it seem like the settlement were actually Orcs instead of Dragonborn. Immediately when he saw the "Orcs", he went berserk and started slaughtering everything in sight. I played my part and imbued his blade, making sure he was the one that dealt each and every blow. I waited until they were all dead before lifting the veil and revealing that he had actually killed the last of his species.
The look on my father's face... It's hard to describe. It was a mixture of betrayal, heartache and shock all mixed into one. I think the worst part was that the plot was organized against him by his own son. It took a long time to get him to play DnD with me again, and he refuses to play unless my character is good.
tl;dr Don't *** with an English teacher whose forté is Shakespearean literature in a DnD game.
