Really. She only needs to check her email, buy everything and anything offered on QVC until the end of the world, and maybe occasionally save some doc files work related.

She also frequently checks websites that sell stuff for gardens...even though she doesn't have a garden.

My parents both own iPad air 2's I believe and they've broken like 3 in the last few years. I also break tablets pretty often but the ones I break tend to be 100~ kindle fires or what not. The last tablet I bought was a Lenovo Tab which is about 200~ but so far has worked great, bigger screen than anything I found of the same price range and haven't found anything I really disliked about it.

Put them in an otterbox case then if they break that often.
***my phone is in an otterbox and I cracked the screen on that within like 3 months of getting it. I'm very clumsy which is why I don't buy expensive things generally.

I'm not particularly inclined towards pads cause I've seen my mother using the touch technology...she tries to poke holes through the screen.

Well... I have "seen" the...first game? or part? or something. Idk. I left off at a stopping point.

It was okay but some of the themes made me very uncomfortable.
yeah, I can see that happening, as it does go into very touchy and dark themes, especially as it progresses trough out the chapters.
it was a weird dark-fun game.

Stay away from Chrome Books. They're just awful. Better off getting a real laptop. The $500 price tag being quoted by everyone sounds about right. Might try to save a little and get used, but that's up to you.

Yea, I'm a bit overly sensitive towards certain themes. Ruins the whole experience for me and all I end up wanting to do is stop playing, or stop watching the show / movie / w/e.

Cutting out the threat of viruses too which is a big boon for tech illiterate people.
That's a huge bonus. The amount of times I've had to help someone because they use IE and ads are everywhere, yuck. gross.

They can't use tech.

Might as well buy a $300 Chomebook for someone that can't use tech than try to make a pig fly. They are very cheap and simple to use, and it doesn't sound like anything Windows based is even needed. Cutting out the threat of viruses too which is a big boon for tech illiterate people.

They aren't awful anyway, but just for $179 you can't expect much.

That being said they run very light on resources which is why they can have that lower price tag from cheaper hardware.
The problem I've seen with Chrome Books is that people who aren't very good with tech get them only to have nothing but problems with getting anything to work they way they think it should work.

Besides Chrome OS is coming to end and switching to Android OS sometime soon. It's a soon to be obsolete operating system.

O.o

wth, Fail?!

I sit on my phone all the time. Then again I don't sit on a hard surface with it in my back pocket..
Now imagine what it's like working in a store with glass everywhere and very expensive very breakable bottles. Worst I've dropped so far was a 50$~ bottle of Vodka but I know someday I'm going to knock over the cabinet we keep about 10,000$ worth of the expensive things in.
