11 km is the average commute distance. And Fuel currently being £1.07 per litre (You can do the maths).
Driving to work is expensive. so we have to have fuel efficient cars or just cycle or train. But train is £100+ a month dependent on where you go.

That doesn't seem too expensive tbh.

That's about how much I spend on my commute back/forth to work per month.

So 6~ miles, $4~ p/g yeah, not really feeling ya there.

I'd gladly pay twice as much for fuel if my commute was 6 miles. Hell a tank would last me like 2 months on that.

It is a NJ thing.

I used to have a 3 mile drive to work.

Everything is close in this state.

I'd be half tempted to walk that, or at least cycle.

Yeah, here in VA (at least my area) there's bike lanes on the more popular streets.

Guess it helps when it's a college town and such.

When Chris Christie is your governor. You know walking and bike paths are simply destined to be cut from the budget.

True that. (Although, I doubt those funds come from the state budget and most likely are from a local budget).
