It was but I figured it would spoil faster constantly taking it out to thaw for one thing, then putting it back in the freezer when you're done with it. lol

Going by memory, but I think beef is generally considered unsafe if kept too long above 46F, if it reaches that point refreezing it is risky.
Just take Midol if your head hurts that bad, truckers use it a lot for headaches on the road, it's just a stronger painkiller but it is acetominophen so if you have liver/kidney/whatever issues in your family you might wanna just have a headache.
