Not sure how interested you are on that stuff but this is really awesome, was even inspired by terminator 2 lol. Ok I really really want to chime in here. With milling and CNC machines, they are programmed and can make anything, all that is needed is materials. While 3D printers can mill something, it's not new technology... :| Mill me an engine block.. YouTube Video Placeholder They have different ones. Bahamut.Milamber said: » That's not quite true; there are items/structures which are not possible to CNC mill, even with multi-axis machines. Since you are physically removing material, you also have issues with the types of materials you can use, as well as the tooling/wear rates. Additive manufacturing (i.e. 3D printing) doesn't have those same kinds of issues. They have different ones. CNC is also n a macro level, in manufacturing and the like. The potential exists for 3D printing to be available on a personal basis. The surface finish of 3D items is pretty bad, and typically needs some form of finishing step (either mechanical or chemical)to get a smoother finish. like with the cakes!
See it all comes full circle, right back to cake. I'm just saying there's probably significantly more of a future in consumer "3D printing" than consumer CNC. Bleh.
And a long nap.
And why in the hell didn't I make this week my last week and have all of next week as free vacation????

I used that meme so much int he past year.
We had a group chat with all my friends that I compete, train, and workout with. We had an imaginary head of HR that would frequent the chat named MR. Pickles. He would send out chats like this: "RE: Franklins new pants. Hi Team, It has come to my attention that Franklin was caught perrrchasing new pants today instead of perrrchasing a new kitty litter for head of HR(Me duh!). We now have to dip into Gianni's "Girl time" funds to buy new kitty litter...not happy at all! I must admit that the new pants are nice, but they now have fur and clumps of crap on them from out meeting. Hope to see you all this weekend. It will be the cats meow. -Mr. Pickles (HR)" Bismarck.Dracondria said: » I hate this picture now that I know it is fake :( It's fake? Good now I don't feel so bad laughing at it.
