I remember you telling me about that. Honestly, I have been wanting to read that book you recommended (that once again I forgot the name of; something to do with leaves or fall or something?) but this past year... dude. Yeah.

This summer though, it looks like I'm going to get paid for sitting around on my *** all day, so I might just be able to give it a whirl, this time. I miss reading a really dense book and having a good intellectual talk about it. Speaking of, when I do end up reading it, prepare me to bombard your facebook about the themes in it. For me, the best part about reading a book is that discussion afterwards.

Also, Jason Jones is going with Samantha Bee for that thing on TBS.
Surprise! Her new trailer makes it seem like she's going to topple the male regime of late night, though. If anything, she'll probably be the one wearing the pantalones.

no, it's not that.

time may stand still, but it was something that when i finally had the chance the universe stepped in and removed the possibility. i'm not in love. i'm just nostalgic for the feeling of the slight chance i had. it was never love, but it was the chance to have the thing i wanted. i'm a stubborn person. not getting what i want... that enrages me. i can usually get anything i want. however, in this one situation i was just really close.

i suppose it's more self-torture that i can't stop myself from inflicting. that's the question though. do you treasure the feeling, or mourn the loss? is there a difference? when your life feels devoid of real feeling anymore, even that slight torture can mean everything. just the memory of how you felt at that one point. it's horrible and wonderful.

House of Leaves is what it's called. This new series he's doing is called The Familiar. From the article: " If you met the author Mark Danielewski on an elevator, here's how your conversation might go:

"What are you doing these days?"

"I'm writing a novel," he replies. "It's 27 volumes long."

"Wow," you might say. "What's it about?"

"It's about this little girl who finds a little kitten."

"Twenty-seven volumes, huh?"

"Ah, it's a very intense subject."
"

So yeah lol. I've never read his other novel (that idk the name of) but House of Leaves is the pinnacle of novels to me.

And thus, the perpetual drama through mankind's duality continues to spiral, like an endless Yin Yang. Honestly, you're right on both counts. They say don't dwell on the past, but in the long run, that's all we really have. When we die, we're not our *** khakis. We're our experiences. You tried and things didn't work out. That's okay. Maybe life has another curveball to toss at you. You never know. In the meantime, keep your head above water, and keep your eyes peeled for the next opportunity that comes your way.

Right now, my advice to you is to chill, grab a tumbler of your favorite scotch and just ruminate on the good stuffs. Hell, if I lived by you and liked scotch, I'd join you.

<(O.o)> You learn something new every day...

Today I learned that years are known as 'annus'.

Kiloannus - 1,000 years
Megaannus ~ 1 Million years
Gigaannus ~ 1 Billion years

So our annus existed for about 13.8 billion years, then why do scientists have:

Teraannus ~ 1 trillion years
Petaannus ~ 1 quadrillion years
Exaanus ~ 1 quintillion years

that's just essentially pluralizing it right?

That's funny I kinda knew the root word though, because of annual.

I guess that is where I got mistaken.

In an informative annex, the International Standard ISO 80000-3 proposes the symbol a (for Latin annus) to represent a year of either 365 or 366 days.

Guess it's to supplement scientific short scale.

Cool info tho
