I would actually really recommend doing that, it's easy, you get alot of EXP per kill if you do the right mobs (coblyns) which will raise you physical level considerably for relatively little effort.

i wish they didnt get rid of physical level and points :( felt so different but nooo make it more like 11 >_>;

Getting rid of physical levels but keeping points for each class from what I read. Meaning you can still allocate points but instead of doing it for all you do it for the one you're playing.
Outside of lvling a low level job physical level is pretty pointless.

That's a far superior system than the one in XI and currently XIV.

It's even better when you can allocate points for each job.
It's like meriting attributes but from the beginning of the game.
