As gorgeous as 4k is, it's still far from practical, especially with UI scaling being as imperfect as it is. IMO it's still best to stick with 1080p and using AA on games until modern hardware can handle 4k at 60+ FPS out of the box; and that isn't happening anytime soon. I made a roadmap of this year's updates and mixed things they should actually expect with fake ones, letting them speculate which are gonna happen and which aren't. Speculation and hype make the business go round. This is what separates TVs from monitors: viewing distance. The further you sit away from something, the less you'll notice jaggies, textures and the like, which is probably why gaming consoles constantly get away with sub-1080p resolutions. My dad just bought one of those curvy tvs. That's all I have to say on the matter of tvs.
Screw inches, you haven't lived until you played a game on 28 screen TV system!

How much did you pay? Might be better off getting 2 1080p screens instead Bismarck.Zenim said: » Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Josiah Monstruo said: » well I still got a couple days if it's best to switch to a 32" 4k monitor or just go even smaller Art, let me know what you think; time to head to work though. Also it doesn't work like that

Linus explains it better than I can. YouTube Video Placeholder Bismarck.Zenim said: » ? Running 1080p content on a 4k monitor/tv is gonna give you some of that nasty interpolation as he mentioned in the video, and because a vast majority of content is in the comfort zone of 1080p, I don't see the need to jumping up to a 4k display necessary unless you have the GPU horsepower to render games that high at a comfortable framerate, or you're a movie buff that has access to 4k video rendering which will be nice too. Probably need a badass internet connection to continuously stream such a high res video continuously.
