As gorgeous as 4k is, it's still far from practical, especially with UI scaling being as imperfect as it is.
IMO it's still best to stick with 1080p and using AA on games until modern hardware can handle 4k at 60+ FPS out of the box; and that isn't happening anytime soon.

28 is about as big as you want to get for 4k.
This is what separates TVs from monitors: viewing distance.
The further you sit away from something, the less you'll notice jaggies, textures and the like, which is probably why gaming consoles constantly get away with sub-1080p resolutions.

My dad just bought one of those curvy tvs. That's all I have to say on the matter of tvs.

So it's much easier for me to have two of these compared to 8 1080p monitors cluttering up the desk etc, much faster and cleaner multitasking

and you're saying the exact opposite hmmm. so it would be easier to use a monitor like this even smaller screen you think?

Running 1080p content on a 4k monitor/tv is gonna give you some of that nasty interpolation as he mentioned in the video, and because a vast majority of content is in the comfort zone of 1080p, I don't see the need to jumping up to a 4k display necessary unless you have the GPU horsepower to render games that high at a comfortable framerate, or you're a movie buff that has access to 4k video rendering which will be nice too. Probably need a badass internet connection to continuously stream such a high res video continuously.
