How does the FTP model hold up with it? It looks fairly conventional despite not requiring subscriptions. Then again, I never played, so I'm sure transaction opportunities are present but discrete.

The most apparent one is bag/bank space. Buying additional slots is by character and not by account, but all crafting materials have their own separate bank they fill. You can convert ingame gold to gems(The Anet currency) to buy whatever you want, and vice versa. You can use real money to buy gems to convert to gold, or use real money to buy gems and buy things off the ingame store like unlimited use gathering tools, boosts, outfits, ect. Everything in the cash shop can be bought with ingame currency by converting gold to gems.

There is no pay to win.

The only real money I have spent in GW2 is for an outfit and I have been playing on and off since launch.

Sounds pretty reasonable. As long as it's not obtuse with advertising the fact that money can be spent, I will be content.

Chapter 12 of Fire Emblem: Awakening is kicking my ***. The mission where you stop the Valmese from invading Feroxi Port. I got down to just the dudes left on the boat at the top last night when one got lucky and crit Robin, killing him. Chrom or Robin dying = Game Over >.>

Yea, it took me 3 hours to clear the first boss... basically the equivalent of Taurus Demon. The second wasn't so bad though.

It's a known issue being addressed in a future patch, I think something to do with the day one patch that slipped by.

If I beat it first try, it would of been a very disappointing experience.

That moment after being defeated, learning from each failure to try new strategies, learning and adapting to the point where you succeed is why I play this game.

You don't learn things from being defeated IRL, maybe you learn that life is a tad harder after a demon rips off one of your arms or legs. That's why you have to git gud.
