Im really just assuming windows broke. Couldn't get past initial loading without blue screen.
When the BIOS flashing was done it's likely the BIOS settings on CMOS were cleared and your current hardware configuration require special settings.
I know that because I am using non matching memory modules on my machine, I must set "unganged mode" or else it's blue screen fest during Windows boot up time.
yeeah, likely the hard drive type setting changed from what it was on to one of the other possible settings.
Store Director: "We order ~X cases of things on every truck, you guys have... 10 workers every truck night?"
Manager: "Yes, 10 workers."
Store Director: "That means each person only needs to do ~16 cases an hour to get done on time, who here can do 16 cases an hour?"
*~3/4ths of the room raises their hands*
Manager: "Spath, why don't you raise your hand. You do far more than 16 cases in an hour of work."
Spath: "Because his math is wrong..."
Store Director: "What do you mean my math is wrong?"
Spath: "You're counting 10 people on the floor, in actuality we have 1 checker, 9 on the floor."
SD: "Oh, well you can make up for that by adding an extra case or so to each of you, so 17 cases."
*waits for people to raise their hands*
Manager: "Spath, you're still not raising your hand..."
Spath: "Math's still wrong."
SD: "What's your problem now?"
Spath: "I can compare your math to an intro to physics student, you're calculating everything we do, as if we're in a vacuum. Which isn't how the real world works. There's more variables than simply X items stocked an hour..."
*SD death glares at me as I finish talking.*
SD: "Anyway!"
TLDR: I don't think my Store director likes me much anymore. :x

My manager doesn't give too many shits though.
Didn't you know Spath. You're all machines that are set to perform a singular task and don't stop for any reason until said task is completed. BeepBoop.
Seriously though, their "manager math" is stupid and I don't like how they keep trying to push me to take a full-time/management position when I told them as I came back that this was only a temporary situation until I found something else.
Then again, maybe I just have way too big of a head on me right now cause I know I'd have to *** up royally for them to even think about firing me.

That'd be fine and dandy, if he himself didn't stress "customers first." and "Now you need to clean everything as you go as well!"
On top of us being required to face aisles after we're done with them... which even with 2 good facers you're looking at a minimum of 15mins possibly 25.
Greatest part was one of the guys had to bring in his kid which is probably why he didn't yell at us more. XP

I don't know if this is a good thing to tell your boss.
They asked me what happened to me/why I was coming back to work the same job I left 6 months ago.
I told them. The one I spoke to(Director's right hand man, person originally leading this meeting) said he was perfectly fine with it and didn't mind me coming back at all because I was already one of their best, I was trained both on a register and on the floor and they had been behind since... well pretty much ever since I left.
Fact is, I knew there was a chance I could leave within a month or two and I wanted them to know that. I left them on good terms and I wanted to leave again on good terms, if I didn't have to pay rent I would have stayed away and saved them the trouble of filing papers.
All that said, I'll admit I've been acting pretty big headed/assish towards them.
But I've also had a little bit too much of them trying to pry things out of me because they want to find some way for me to stay and I'm tired of them asking me take over the other assistant manager job because they want a new scapegoat to blame things on. :/
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
