In my opinion too many seek out fulfillment in dating and establishing romantic relationships, which makes objectives and underlying motives a bit opaque between both partners since people can change dramatically when there's a desire to be desired and whatnot; much like how people take on very different personas when under the limelight of a camera on a tv show or youtube, etc.

tl;dr
Enjoy yourself and your own company. Build it, and they will come.

No, they won't. Relationships don't fall from the sky, you have to actively do something. If you are good looking you might be hit on by those with courage of making a move, but keep in mind that is also further restrained by the places you go to. For example hardly anyone, even with great game, would approach you in a library.
