Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Go to bed!
Full Dustforce OST
YouTube Video Placeholder highly recommend listening to now I'm off to sleep Ha, stole your page
I liked the first part but the thing that bothered me was his pronunciation of Uematsu since it wasn't even close. It was edi or erimatsu or something and it was just very odd lol
Listen to 10:10 in part 1 and then 6:41 in part 2, he got it right the second time lol
Great video series. Though it makes me sad that Sakaguchi has more or less closed the book on creating games to my knowledge. It seems he carried that initial "Final" fantasy mindset with him to the end in creating Lost Odyssey and The Last Story.
Hopefully someday he'll reach out to do it again, like how Hayao Miyazaki tends to quit, and re-establish his passion over and over again lol. He's creating shitty mobile games now
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » He's creating shitty mobile games now I saw that when I checked Mistwalker's site several months back. But hey, everyone's gotta eat right? And right now the mobile market is a hot spot for those seeking to strike gold. Sadly it's not like Mistwalker has any publisher's back to support or fund them like they had with Microsoft Game Studios back with LO. Besides, I doubt it's Sakaguchi that's necessarily creating or endorsing these shitty mobile games. Rather just a studio's means to an end that has long since faded out of it's limelight. On a side note, I would love to see Mistwalker and Tri-Crescendo gain their ground again. They had some particularly awesome art direction and game/story concepts.
No he seemed pretty excited to create mobile games from that interview Kali posted a while back

No I don't, google it lol
Would love to see a Continuation of Rogue Galaxy!
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » I want more tri-Ace games like Star Ocean and Level-5 games like Rogue Galaxy Except 4 I hope ;) It was very difficult to get into his head reading that article. It almost seems that he's a bit bitter, and wanting to move onto different things that he hasn't touched on before while distinguishing himself and his works as far from his FF namesake as possible.
Though IMO the mobile market is simply a dead end when it comes to putting grandiose concepts into fruition. It's a field that preys on shitty practices and design to maximize sales (or players in the FTP space) and profit. 6 Rathios Plates deep, 0 Rathian Plates. fml

That was the last Final Fantasy I truly enjoyed that wasn't online. FFX had some nice music but very linear gameplay and serious cringe moments, FFX-2 was mainly just to look at Rikku, though I find myself drawn more toward Paine now. FFXII was pretty good, had a big world, but the story seemed like Ashe's story through Vaan's eyes, Vaan's part in the story seemed to wear off quick. FFXIII Trilogy... But as far as the FF franchise, if I remember correctly it is stated that it would have taken 14~ N64 carts to store the game on in comparison to the 3 cds, don't recall exactly if this was a calculated value by a third party or from Nintendo themselves, I don't feel like looking it up. Nintendo's project also brought us the Philips CD-i, and eventually this Zelda game not made by Nintendo: YouTube Video Placeholder Didn't Sega even have a CD unit that attached to the Genesis?

Because a computer hard drives making company had the mark "mega drive" registered in the USA. But the real name of the thing is "SEGA MEGA DRIVE", "MEGA-CD" and "SUPER 32X":
Here, the MEGA-KLUDGE in all of it's glory: ![]() The small thing at the bottom near the MEGA-CD unit is the karaoke expansion. I remember when I was little I really wanted a SEGA Saturn, which was the most popular 'next gen' console at the time. My dad instead came back from the shop with a PlayStation, that no one knew what it was. He pretty much bought one of the very first sold in this country and told me "trust me, this is better".
Indeed, PS lived on, Saturn Idk what befell it but it disappeared into nothingness. I loved the Sega Saturn. For sure the PS1 was a lot more popular, but Saturn had some amazing titles--true-to-arcade CAPCOM fighter ports (using the RAM-cartridge) and Treasure's "Guardian Heroes" among others. ^^
The US-release titles were really lacking, but the domestic JP titles (via import) were amazing for the Saturn. :) In my opinion, the case and controllers were a lot more "solid" feeling and higher-quality than the PS1 (at least what was released in the US.) |
