Neighbors haven't seen or heard anything.
I put up posters, but I don't think they'll do much good at this point.

No, I've never tasted them, but you know when things give off such a strong scent, you kinda get the smell in your mouth and can taste that? Yeah...

=/ sorry man.. Losing a loved pet is like losing a loved one, may not be people, but doesn't stop us from getting emotionally attached to them in the same manner. Don't want to be the one to point out the obvious, but you never really get over it.. I didn't, I still miss my favorite dog, and that was about 10 years ago now..

Taste is actually based strongly in the sense of smell.. My grandma can't smell cuz of a car accident, she wasn't born that way, she can still taste some, but it's no where near the same for her as it is for a normal person.

Just really bummed out cause unlike most cats, this fella was stuck to me like glue. He was my pal. Always followed me and hung out with me in my room. Constantly jumped on my lap or chest to relax or sleep. I miss having that kind of connection, even if only with a cat.

R.I.P. pal, wherever you are.

My cat got out and we couldn't find him for a little over a week when one morning we heard him mewing out in the rain.

Oh no, I am so sorry Arte. :-( Losing pets is the absolute worst. I cried more when my first dog had to be put down than when my grandparents died, no joke. Can't even imagine how hard it would be to not know what happened. :-( So sorry.

It'd kill me to hang onto hope for too long.

lol Slip! ;; I think I told you guys about that nightmare already a long time ago. But in it, zombies broke out at my university. I got a pair of pistols that magically never ran out of ammo and killed myself to where my husband's lab at the school is, but when I got there, he was already zombie-fied. So I put the guns down, walked up to him, and let him take a bite. No one else, I killed anyone else who tried to bite me. Wanted him to be the one to turn me or something, idk lol. I just knew I couldn't shoot him and I didn't want to survive without him, so it was time to man up and get a bite taken out of me. xD

Maybe he'll surprise you when you least expect it, Arte. Not to lay out any false hope or anything, but recently one of my neighbor's dogs disappeared for about a week. It somehow got back to them though. They were frantically hunting for it everywhere.

Maybe he just went out to go find a cat in heat.. I know the not knowing part is probably driving you even crazier then if you actually knew what happened, but he could show back up. Come to terms with the fact he may be gone, but don't accept that as absolute this early.

In a week or two, go look at some new kitties. Won't replace him, but it can make things easier.

Yeah, I get it, if you're like me anyways.. I'm a pessimist, not because I think everything's going to go wrong, but disappointment is a huge thing for me and it bugs me far worse than most.. So I've learned to expect the worst, and be pleasantly surprised if the worst doesn't come. If the worst does come, it's not a shock to me and it doesn't bother me much, I mean after all I was already expecting it.

TODAY!!!

I slept in.
Ate amazing pepper turkey wraps.
Floated on a river drinking beer and swimming.
Went out to an amazing dinner and had the best damn burger I've ever had with a salad!
Celebrated my best friends birthday..
And now I'm listening to Lonely Island.

Oh edit: And received 1000 dollars for being a good student at school. :)
