Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

Can't play it on my SNES either because the connector is missing/torn off. Fairly sure they have roms for this game. If they do I likely have the files on my old laptop of course this isn't as simple and plug/play but a bit less intensive than find/plug/play fractalvoid said: » Bloodrose said: » I feel like playing my favorite SNES classic of all time, Super Mario RPG, but I don't feel like digging out my brother's Wii to play it. If they do I likely have the files on my old laptop of course this isn't as simple and plug/play but a bit less intensive than find/plug/play I have the rom/emulator on my PC right now, as well as pretty much every other classic, must-play SNES game in existence :) Offline

that particular game, I would never use a rom for.
To me, that would be sacrilegious for such a great game. On the other hand, there are some harder games to find that I do have ROM's for, including foreign only editions. YouTube Video Placeholder Back to life as a hermit for me!

I also have River City Ransom on my brother's Wii lol
damn that was such a great game to have fun with. Throwing tires and baseballs at goons, picking them and tossing said goons at other goons I'll have to load up my old computer and see what I have on there. I haven't really put much on my new computer besides FFXI and related programs, a non-shitty browser and FL studio.
Could probably convert all my ***over tonight tbh and mess around. Got dat LM-31 on my main char in FFXI today and kinda bittersweet sigh of relief. Will be weird being w/ friends on mumble while they play and I don't... but no more annoying, fruitless addiction to deal with and plenty of free time to do just as un-satisfying, menial things. Although most SNES games are better than FFXI and I don't have to deal with uh... just other people in general, I can't even think of an appropriate passive-aggressive thing to say that isn't too aggressive lol How do I delete this account? There has to be an option by now...

The Wii doesn't specifically use a rom, other than a console reversion.
ROM's on the other hand for PC, are open to so much that it just takes away from the game. At least in my opinion. Great games deserve to be played the way they were meant to be. Picked up the complete cowboy bebop series on blue ray, was also double pack with the move!~

Now if you want to *** about using save states and using codes, etc. That's another story, but there's nothing wrong with playing it via a rom. Now that being said: nothing wrong with using save states to save yourself a lot of frustration in getting items that are for no reason other than player trolling missable, it's literally just a time saver at that point. But I've also done it the other way, just is more annoying to have to walk back each time. oh, didnt notice that was your avatar before I posted it. Shows how much I pay attention to avatars.

It's like my friend who has recently spent a lot of money on flashcarts, it makes no sense when emulators for the said systems are so advanced. Offline
