It's not rotten, it's fermented, lol. LOTS of foods are made this way. For example: alcohol, corn syrup, cheese, chocolate, coffee beans, Sauerkraut, some Ketchups, Sourdough bread, Strained yogurt, yogurt, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Soy sauce.

2. here in 'Murica we use quarts of oil, not liters, you imperialist scum!

I haven't changed my own oil in some time, mostly due to not liking to have to wait until the garage is available, or hear the bitchfit when I do it, so I grab the supplies and pay to have it done, it's cheap, and I usually have it done while I have them check/fix something else, so it doesn't take really any extra time.
for the reference though, I usually put 4 quarts in, even though my car is metric, because it's awesome, so about 3.78541 liters :P
