I want to race them because fast cars are fun.
Not out of wanting to "one up" them.
You have an excellent point there though in that it could seem I would veiw them as rivals, and in a way I guess I did...

Okay I need to ask, what's the difference between a Gnashing Bolt and an Abrasion Bolt? They both diminish defense of the enemy but use different terms for it.

Apparently there's an Oxidant Bolt too which does the same damned thing.

I think it reduces defense in different ways, maybe one's damage taken (physical) and the other is actual defense

Think I figured it out for the most part.
Oxidant bolts "weaken defense" with the exact same effects as an acid bolt and can be used by WAR DRK & THF.

Awhile Abrasion Bolt is RNG only and has higher dmg, doing the exact same thing as Oxidant & Acid bolts, and Gnashing Bolt does a bunch more damage than an Oxidant bolt and can still be used by WAR THF & DRK but are listed as "Decreases defense".
