I have no problem with mobile gaming, especially on the ones that let you use the hdmi out to a bigger screen, but my only real gripe is the controls, I've yet to meet a mobile game where the touchscreen didn't piss me the *** off. Or a touchscreen in general that didn't usually piss me off.
That's probably the biggest obstacle to overcome. Handhelds do this well because they're self integrated and remain relatively steadfast to the standard of analog stick(s), d-pad, 4 primaries, and 2-4 LR buttons. I'm very glad to see mobile nip at the heels of conventional gaming, but I still find that the very nature of mobile gaming runs contrary to what I perceive as optimal immersion. Whether that be a bigger screen, better hardware and peripherals, or even just being in a more controlled environment.

There's a handheld with R2 L2 ?
That's kind of cheating though since it's really just a streamer :<
Oh yeah, but it still needed 1 more button to get a comfortable mapping, didn't have anything for "start" when I was mapping an emulator.
Plus I couldn't get FF8 to run for the life of me, it kept locking up in RetroArch.
So I hocked it to pay for rent, I didn't have a good GPU then so I couldn't do the streaming feature, I have one that can handle it now, kinda wish I had it again.
Think it'll be a good overhaul from the binds of being a PSP game. Though it blows me away that it's been this long since XIII has been out, because I was under the illusion that type-0 came out before and thus was the origin of the whole Fabula Nova Crystalis thingy. But hopefully type-0 will be able to deliver an experience where I can actually appreciate the lore therein.
It was released, I have it for emulator. Occasionally crashes in the Crystarium, but works.
It was only released in Japan for PSP.
She means the fan translation. If I remember correctly they actually finished it or at least started releasing it about the same time the HD remake was announced which was a bit of a kick in the nads after all that work.

Yeah, but at the same time I'm sure they're happy for the official release for us yanks. I remember the Mother 3 fan-translation team was begging Itoi and Nintendo to release it proper for us. Alas, it fell on deaf ears... for now.
I'm sure many are thankful for an official release, but after sternly telling us for so long that they had no intentions of translating it and then announcing their HD remake, with translation, within the same month as their team hitting a point where it was releasable? I have to admit I'd be pretty salty about it.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
