It's just because the dialogue sounds odd when they translate it. It's fine in shows like Avatar because it's written in English in the first place, any dub sounds awkward compared to the original.
Read the subtitles on the translated video. That proves it could be done in a less stupid way even as literal translation to English. They're just "going out of their way" to make it look like a silly kid's TV show. At least the acting quality of the english dub is actually pretty good besides the silly rewrites on the script.
Ever watch Digimon? The first season is pretty well known to have been destroyed by dubbing rewrites. It's so bad that the English dub is widely considered to simply be non-canon. There were also scenes cut out for no apparent reason and some story-relevant dialog was replaced with corny jokes.
EDIT: Season 2 was done the same way. In season 1, there were two characters the writers intended to end up together from the start, the English dub tried it's best to pair the girl of that couple with the main character.
EDIT2: There was also a recurring line in the season 2 dub that was wrong for half the season till they realized it, changed it, and the character was even given a line saying something about it.

Got to work at 7:55, forgot some stuff at the house. so had to drive all the way back home. Got my stuff then drove back. didn't get back until 9:20. Then had to move a 275lb backup battery. got to move another one in a little bit. now i just want to sleep in my chair and wish it was tuesday
i requested time off for friday. :)
so short work week for me, and only going to work mon/tues next week. Then won't be back until jan 2nd~! which is a friday then its the weekend again~!!!!!

My firm is taking the Wed/Thur/Friday off next week, and Thursday of the following week off. About 60-75% of my firm will be gone these next two weeks also, everyone else except myself and one other person taking off various points of the next two weeks. I have to keep up with the Senate bill that they aren't voting on for tax extenders, so I'm the unlucky one this year and have to work the 6 days outside of the holidays lol...

Yeah, I do not get any more vacation time until 2016. I'm saving up my 2015 vacation for emergencies only.
I can take a week from my 2015 vacation and apply it to 2016, which I would like to do so I can go visit Japan for 3 weeks and still have a lot of time for emergencies/family.
Hopefully it has Japanese audio as well but I really doubt it. I would pay them to get the JP audio with English subtitles :| Even an extra 20 dollars if necessary

Lamest dream ever last night; I was starting a degree in business administration and trying to stealth my way around the university but everyone knew what I was studying and everyone was super hyped that I was there like I was bill gates or some ***. As in wtf no one is hyped for freshmen lol

Had an interesting dream last night. Was in some battlefield in an urban environment. Almost felt like I was living in a battlefield game. I don't remember much besides just the running around and shooting but one thing did stick out. I distinctively remember during the dream that my vision blurred a lot. I thought something may have happened to my eye. I entered an apartment room and checked the mirror. One eye was perfectly fine. The other eye looked like a "lazy eye". However it kinda swiveled around and there were 2 eye balls in the same socket. and I could feel it shifting around.
iono what the dream means D: but thought that part was just freaky
the important part is where the two eyeballs fighting for control of your vision in that eye socket? or were they getting along and working together?
when looking at the mirror. The left eye was focused on my reflection. My right eye(s) would swap/swivel around in the socket, scanning/looking around. Kinda like Mad Eye Moody from harry potter.
but just the thought of having 2 eye balls in the same socket moving around ~ick. anything involving eyes in a weird way just give me the heebie jeebies

So i'm at a subway eating lunch and when I finish I start backing up the ambulance which beeps and I stop to not hit two overly robust females one of course thinks im stopping to make the beep sound to call attention to her size. She then comes to my window and starts screaming at me. I, being my charming self try to explain to no avail. So I then vocally lamented forgetting my harpoon gun and asked them to kindly keep moving because I didn't believe the parking lot was meant to endure that sort of stress

Interesting trailer for FFXV in English. Though I hope they don't intend to keep those voice actors for the english version, as while they're appropriate for the character's build or fighting style, I don't find them to befit their persona or looks at all.

Big guy and Noctis kinda sound the same lol
I thought it was weird how the big guy had this sort of articulate british man kind of voice. I expected a more robust hulkish voice or something like that anyways.
Not to mention Noctis' voice seems a little too deep and sophisticated for his Kpop boy band star image lol.
