Way to go on the upgrade, farming the atma alone is daunting as hell nah one after gold glow is a white glow with rings. one after is probably excalibur, but may be a stage still left on curtana. NOT THAT I'LL EVER KNOW SINCE LIGHTS ARE AWFUL AND I DON'T GET TO PLAY PLD ANYMORE Offline

It goes:
Relic > Zenith > Atma > Animus > Novus > Nexus, or is it Nexus > Novus? novus -> nexus

You see, math... um. Too early in the morning to figure that out. Offline

Sadly, Proth is right.
500 soldiery tomes a book, 10 groups of 10 targets per book is 100, becomes 900. 3 dungeons/fates/leves per book, is 27 total dungeons/fates/leves. Aaaand you get to repeat the entire process over for each relic weapon you choose to do to completion. I just find the evolution of the grind to be hilarious. it's like they realized over time that they can't create content fast enough to keep up, so they had to make the grind last longer to compensate
also building an ilvl 115 weapon by fighting ilvl 55 content is amazing Offline

Yeah, but it seems to be working.
Then again, people are grinding out the 110 weapons, and even the ironworks weapons pretty fast to compensate for not having finished the relics. And some of those, are damn beastly weapons. can just farm t9 and get a nearly nexus equivalent weapon for a fraction of the time investment too
main draw of relics is sadly always going to be prestige skins/sound effects. Unfortunately, it isn't by doing prestigious activities that you get them, it's by proving you have more time to throw at menial tasks that most people don't give a *** about. What I find kinda ironic is that weapons are limited by level. I mean in the real world, you can handle any weapon regardless of whatever the item level is. I feel that mmo's should evolve away from the standard weapon level limitation and more towards experience with that weapon to increase the weapon's experience level for stronger use of it.
Therefore, you naturally get stronger. Offline

Well, technically, and realistically speaking, you can't just handle any weapon.
You have to be 1. Physically fit enough to use it, and 2. in a state of practice to be able to use it effectively, and with meaning. Basically, you start your way at ilvl 1, which is essentially say, a potato peeler, before working your way up to a filet knife. Unless you prefer the methods employed through weapon skill gain like in the Disgaea franchise. I think this is why I liked the older RPG's better than today's "You must be level 70 to attack with the Ridill" limitation as oppose to if I can find a ridill, I can use it that instant.
Though, this ilvl thing does have me intrigued a bit. I can say that all weapons are ilvl 1 if you've never used it before. Naturally get stronger each time you use it. I'm just speaking in general, no way related to any game. Luckaly the light portion of it is the easyest just takes abit to do,
Only problem im going to have is doing the Teir IVs for my yoshimitsu lol basicly broke atm so might farm the mats to have a fc mate make me a few i90 sets to SB ( seen him convert 2 sets yesterday and only got one crap materia, others sell for 100k or more easy I don't like your concept Aelius, it would limit itemization even further, and that's one of the fun parts of a rpg.
ummmm....
YouTube Video Placeholder Aelius, I'm putting you in charge of fixing the https youtube errors. Don't even say you can't do anything about it :O
*puts Aelius in charge and puts all the blame on him until otherwise* Can't believe people have actually donated over 100mil to someone else's mythic...or that someone asked for it at all for that matter.

How would my concept limit itemization? There would be no point for a wide variety of weapons if all start from lv 1. Aside from appearance.

Jumping to a strongest weapon doesn't mean you'll automatically hit the hardest. Work your way up. I don't understand that post.
If all axes for example start from lv 1, why would you need more than a handful in the game with slightly different additional stats? morning RT <3

Well, it makes sense to me for my project, although many other factors play a role with it. Spiritbonding, skill level, etc etc. |
