Eh, I REALLY hope SE stops riding Fabula Crystalis Nova's *** for 5 minutes and gives us a classic or two :/
XII emulated on PC looks *** amazing, so I can only imagine how it'll look once the modding community fixes what their porters can't be bothered to do in the first place.

Perhaps it's time I set my expectations to nil too; at least when it comes to Square-Enix. That's not to say I cannot appreciate something progressive or new, but general quality of the franchise to me has taken a turn akin to Ubisoft's PR panel.

The Gambit system in XII is horrible. It works too well. You get rewarded for making good gambits by not having to do anything other then push the joystick in the direction you are heading.
It's great for NPCs you get stuck with but for your playable party it makes the game boring.
If you turn off gambits you get wrecked due to the real time combat. Selecting moves individually per character ends up as a hassle too cause the menus are also designed for you to make use of gambits.
... Sorry. Just upset they have dropped turn based combat / ATB for auto-pilot real time combat. I actually liked Random battles too. It's a system that should have been improved on rather then dropped.
