I kept staring at that picture hoping her hands would move. It looks cute and creepy at the same time
Franklin said that the more time, effort, or work you put towards a person, the more you're personally investing in them and the more you want it to work out; however if you go too much out of your way to do things for them and investing in them, you're cutting out their chances to invest as well into the relationship, thus actually having a slightly negative effect.
Just found this, thought it was interesting. Phoenix.Josiahfk said: » But If I know you, I know what you'll do once upon a dream YouTube Video Placeholder YouTube Video Placeholder

Just found this, thought it was interesting. Part of why I love being alone so much; Empty rooms finally mean there is no one left to take care of. Being away from my wife always has the same pattern for me. It's novel for a bit, I enjoy the quiet time to myself to a degree, but it rapidly gets lonely awful quick. She has to go to conferences and trade shows for scientists sometimes for work and it's normally a 3-4 day thing. I'm normally all, "Woohoo, bachelor life for a few days!" at the beginning. But by the time the last day rolls around I'm more of the, "this isn't that fun" mindset. Funny thing is, I have sort of the opposite reaction with other people, just on a much faster time table. Most of the time after an hour or two of socializing I'm ready to be rid of everyone for another two months. Alcohol allows the experience to prolong to a certain degree, but only to a point. I'm just not a crowd person. Neither is my wife. That's why we didn't have an actual wedding or reception; being the center of attention like that for an entire day would be brutal. Paying all that money to do it would be hell. Well it's not! ._.;
I have a few meals of things she doesn't like; normally Mexican stuff or shellfish; she's not a fan of either. I play my kit for a while longer than I normally would because even though it's an electronic kit and doesn't bother the neighbors it still makes a bit of clacky racket within the apartment. I watch some of my movies that she thinks are dumb (she's right; but that's not the point), and then... Well, you get the point. I overthink things a lot, but it has the opposite effect for me. If I don't stop myself, I start plotting out all the things that can go wrong and then it's neuroses-ahoy! I was lucky to meet a woman who has exactly the same taste in movies as me. Ironically, it was a movie that convinced me she was the one. I actually completely understand Ramy.
I'm very much the same way, while I enjoy my alone time (and even carve it out when my wife is home some times). I enjoy my night or two of pizza and video games and such... but I just get bored I guess. Always preferred a close friend or two over a network of people (which is why I never bothered with facebook or the like). So then I try to make friends and it turns into "I hate people" within like 20 minutes. Fenrir.Atheryn said: » I was lucky to meet a woman who has exactly the same taste in movies as me. There's some variation between us (namely my corny and/or weird movie and we both have some fringe music we listen to that the other doesn't), but largely we're pretty in sync in most all things. Just enough variance to keep it interesting. |
