My sister is moving 800+ miles away, my mother is pitching a fit because her grandkids are moving 800+ miles away, my "Super Awesome Road Trip" plans got changed because my sister wants me to bring some of her crap to her after she moves, and it is nowhere near my route. Found this out Saturday.
Then Tuesday night I get a call from an ex-coworker saying that there is a position available at a restaurant where it is a dream job for me, where I effectively control the books and the business (I practically run the business with input from the owners). Plus, it pays about 13k more per year than what I'm being paid right now anyway.
So, being me, I felt guilty and told my bosses about this job offer and that I was considering it. Of course it is review time, so they came back this morning and gave me a ~30% raise to keep me here. Now I got to tell the owners of that restaurant that I'm staying at my current position.
All this ***just gave me unneeded stress, because it's near June 15th, an important deadline for federal taxes and I just want to scream out loud with all this internal and external pressure of all this ***!
