Thats prolly not a game you will ever trade, so I would just DL it.
Hard copy. Simply for the fact that you could never be screwed over by DRMs or anything, and the smell of a freshly opened game case.
Nintendo would actually have to use online functionality effectively before anyone could worry about DRM.
I'd go hard copy personally, but then again I'm slightly adverse to transitioning entirely to the digital realm. I still prefer to buy music in CD form rather than use iTunes.

I use Pandora for some things, but oftentimes they suggest music that I can't stand. Plus, for me there's something about listening to an album from start to finish that's hard to beat. That and I can't use Pandora in my car.
I'd say hard copy for sure, but thats just me. Also, you only have 'finite' hard-drive space for the Wii U, so theres that factor to throw in there. I had that problem with the Wii, when I bought games off the Virtual Console and had to get an SD Card to hold more...

Pandora suggests better music the more you actively use it. (rate ups/downs, seeds, etc.) I have two stations that play something I like 99% of the time. One of the stations pretty much only plays songs that have already been thumbed up by me previously. But I've been building it for a few years now.
I used to use a tape deck converter in my old car because I was too lazy to put a cd player with an auxiliary port on it in.
Also with Pandora. It's a bad idea IMO to try and build a station off an artist. It's better to start with a genre and just customize it to your liking.

Ive bought a few games digitally from nintendo and they have always been the same price as the physical one :(
