I don't know what's wrong with you, he's perfectly normally handsome enough as guys go. That's like liela seeing a pic of cosplay of Natalie portman wearing ash's outfit and freaking out "I need eye bleach!!!"

Well, Ash's character is pretty androgynous to begin with, and it's more often than not, that females will cosplay as leading androgynous male characters.

As a man, you're right, he's pretty good looking. Just not in Misty's outfit.
