Talking about wisdoms.... I'm glad I had mine cut out when I was 13-15. Forget exactly when I had it done.
I remember telling the nurse that I was getting sleepy (anesthesia) and next thing I know I'm waking up and trying to ask if they had started yet. Then I realize I have a mouth full of gauze.
Didn't have too much pain with it either. Used dry tea bags to stop the bleeding quickly.

You don't have near the hole and thus pain associated with the removal of wisdom teeth when they are surgically cut out instead of just pulled.
Since pulling usually has a decent amount of bruising to the gum line to go with it and all.
What my main dentist told me anyway.
