I think it's just the internet culture catching up with itself among certain people.

I think it's something akin to unspoken but agreed upon group delusion; wonder if there's a word for that. Whenever someone or people nonchalantly chat in manner that's uncalled for for the situation, I think (I hope?) we all know they're either just trying to mask their insecurities or they just want attention.

And they'd get it, by passing around nonsense posts until the thread gets nuked. Those posts fulfill both the need for attention and also as the metaphorical "hey look at me, I'm not mad" sign on their back.

I feel kind of bad about it, since Flav and I might have had a hand in it. We both doled out an off-the-cuff jab/joke at the expense of some of our extremely right-wing posters' comments from previous threads.

/cringe

I hope that wasn't the case though. Sad to see it nixed.

So, I don't know if I told you guys about this or not, but I was one of two people from my cohort at Central invited to go to some gala called "The Jump Ball" hosted by the owner of the Suns. I figured it'd be some sort of hobnobbery with bigwigs, but I had no idea of the magnitude of this event. First off, admission for someone who doesn't have everything paid for them (like I will get) is at the bare minimum of 600 dollars a plate. Allegedly the Pointer Sisters are going to be performing there and I might have the chance to meet Charles Barkley.
