Population is dropping, average login time is dropping as well.. most of the people who were around all the time in the old days were in high school. Now they're working, and on much less often.

A different server might have better endgame opportunities since leviathan is dead atm, but that's about it. You're not going to see big populations again unless they do a merge.

I miss the old people... not all used to be in high school.. some where old and working.... funny too....

Ugh, I love and hate the holiday season. Time with family is great, but I want nothing more right now than to enjoy the company of my friends. Of course, they're also spending time with family right now. D:

Be thankful that you can spend time with your family. I still wish I could spend some time with my Dad. Hell, even spending time with my mother sounds good right now but she's still busy with all the stuff involving my grandfather's death.

Anyway, sorry for the slight emo moment there.

I think what makes the game enjoyable is the people you have around ... I have been away from ffxi for 7-8 month because of SE error problem and now when I got back I only see zombies in the server.... its dead

should I move to odin? or is it worse?

When did you log in..? I don't see zombies, I've been playing with the same people for years and experience any content that comes out. I don't know what timezone you are in, but EST is fine.

Amen to that, most people I disliked have left or moved on so Cerb is good for me atm :p

But ok honestly, if you are nice and cool and would treat them well, I do still have friends playing that would let you hang out with them. (If you are not nice and wouldn't treat them well, then don't touch my friends, bah humbug, grrr hiss, claws and blood, and so forth!)

If you go to Odin, find Aiosama. She's the leader of a very small ls that does some new stuff but also keeps up with some of the old stuff, like Einherjar. Ninjanymphet or Xanther can also help you, if you are nice. These folks are kind but fair, willing to give anyone a chance, and can be quiet but are very friendly and sweet.

Or, if you'd rather, find Drakus, Merick, or Jess. They are a really cool trio of folks who anyone would be happy to hang out with. Drakus was the leader of my Limbus ls for a long time, and the other two were pals on that ls. They helped my husband and me through a lot of stuff and kept us playing and having fun at a time when we would have quit otherwise.

There are some other pals on Odin, but those six can definitely get you pointed in the right direction if you are looking for awesome, loyal friends.

I miss my pals. :-( I would go reactivate, if I thought I'd stay.
