I don't even do it for that reason. I really enjoy playing games with friends with some drinks or going out with friends. I steer away from booze when I feel upset.

I just meant, when someone is constantly demeaning you before you even start drinking, then how do they expect you to have a good time?

I have a friend whom (did I do that 'whom' right?) I'm concerned about only because he never does anything with out drinking. Other than that, if it doesn't affect the rest of your life, do whatever the hell you want on evenings or weekends.

Drinking is huge here. More so than North America since people don't outgrow it. I dunno, I ramble now
