after so many years of bleach manga/anime, i understand why i'm so cynical about it and kubo in particular. however, i decided to rewatch the first ten episodes. i've always considered them the best selection of anime i'd ever seen, but it's been awhile since i sat down and enjoyed them. i'm doing just two, three episodes tops per day instead of rushing through like i normally would.


i really did forget just how good it is. the style is really the thing that made me like any anime. everything from the intro, the colors and shading, the music, and even the outro. rukia is still so lovable and cool. i'm not sick of ichigo yet, and orihime's boobs aren't comically over-sized.


just a random thought. usually i burn through so many shows like it's a contest. it had been awhile since i really looked at what i was watching.

If he'd kept the style he used in the beginning and not made Ichigo a whining baby I don't think we'd all hate it as much as we do. It does look fantastic now but he really packed in more story in the beginning on each page. Now he can only fit like 2-3 panels on each page and it takes 20 chapters for an hour to pass in the manga.

i agree 100%. the artwork is just so beautiful early on. it was like nothing else i had ever seen. i'm gonna keep begrudgingly reading the manga, but i'll never forgive bleach for the, "let's play soccer with a 6 year old" arc.
