First class I have, Professional Ethics, the teacher starts out by having a student eat three twinkies, then splits us into groups to discuss abortion. 10 minutes into the class and one woman who apparently had several miscarriages is storming around the room arguing with everyone.

I have to do a debate in 2 weeks, opposing that English be made the national language for USA.

At the end he asks us to write a number between 1 and 175,000,000 and then tells us that whoever gets it right will get an A in the class without having to show up. When no one does he said "That's right, get an education because winning the lottery is *** hard!".

Going to be an interesting semester.

Job question:
Is it ok to call and ask for a closing date on a job posting? It was put up online on August 17th. I called last Friday but the receptionist girl said she had no idea. She said she did know that they did not hire anyone yet.


Should I call today and ask for a closing date or when they will be contacting people?
