Phoenix.Kojo said: » OH! Well, why are you WALKING to work? Did you buy a used car? O.O lol—work moved closer to where I live, and I got tired of taking the bus (I don't own a car ; ;). Josiahkf said: » Should be "5th day you log in" for the bonus not 5th day the contest has been running, I thought. What's wrong with taking the bus? Everyone does it here. Though our buses and trains aren't disgusting, they're all clean and nice
Well, maybe except for this one I know this is probably a stupid question, but if I pre-order a physical copy of FFXIV, it says it's available to pick up the day of release. If that's the case, how will I be able to access it early?
I'm new to this pre-ordering (or ordering a new game in general) thing, so I'm totally clueless as to how all this stuff works. Because pre-orders get early access Jos.....................

Okay, so the early access thing will be a separate client. I thought it might be something like that but I wasn't sure.
And yeah, Jos, it's something specific to XIV. Quote: Pre-order Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and receive a token for early access to the game and digital in-game content including a Mog cap and minion pet. The token for early access will be emailed with instructions prior to early access opening. Josiahkf said: » Never heard of that in the pre-order theory, unless ffxiv is the exception my bad~ Now I just have to decide between buying it from Amazon and having it arrive a day or two after release, or buying it from GameStop (something I've never done) and picking it up the day it comes out.
I know Old Republic and Tera did it. Can't remember off the top of my head but I believe Guild Wars and Rift did as well.
To those discussing the login event, today is the 6th day, so this should be your 6th login, 700 points total.
