Hokay, so, one of our neighbors has this one or two year old kid. He sits outside in the dirt in her yard, reaches through the slats in the fence into my yard, and my dogs run over and lick his fingers. They don't bite him, but if he moved quickly and startled them or something, they could bite him. It's also disgusting because they eat their own poop, then go slobber all over this kid's fingers, and he probably sticks his fingers straight into his mouth because he's a yucky kid. I don't especially want to be responsible for making someone else's kid sick from ingestion of dog poop. I don't know where the kid's mom is, so I can't be all "Hey would you sit your kid a foot back further from the fence?" And anyways, she shouldn't have to cramp the kid's style for the sake of someone else's dogs. So as of now my dogs are stuck inside (and being quite cabby about it) except for four or five times a day to go to the bathroom, and during those four or five times I go out with them and keep smacking them away from the fence and making the baby sad. It's sad, I stand with my back to the kid smacking dogs away from him while he goes "Puppy? Puppy?" It's the only word I've ever heard him say. "Puppy?" Bah humbug.

My husband and I have our own Minecraft world. I like it like that. No people! Yay! Except villagers. Meh. And my husband wants to let his brother and his sister on. He's all "I'd have playmates! Yay!" And he thinks it would be super fun to have a couple more people to play with, people he knows and could talk to.

I'm 100% not interested. I love his brother and his sister, don't get me wrong. But ok, with his sister, she plays Minecraft with her friends. They are all in 8th grade. They are obnoxious, loud, and think they are funny. I don't want a Minecraft world run over with 8th graders, I really don't. I don't like hanging out with them on the best of days and the first time they accidentally killed my pink sheep it would be the end of the world. NOPE NOPE NOPE.

His brother is a bit more mature. But... him and his brother are best friends. I have this irrational fear that the millisecond his brother is there to play, then every time we get on it will be me mining and those two off fighting dragons and crap. And I know that if I asked my husband to come play with me, he would. And he'd even try to hide the fact that he'd rather stay with his brother. But that's not fair to him, to make him play with me when he wants to play with his brother, and it's not fair to his brother. Can you imagine? Two guys on this world gearing up to go to the Nether and kick some arse, getting potions and food and armor and enchanted weapons and whatnot, and they are two seconds from being able to go and I log in and want to play with my husband? And he'd do it. He'd leave his brother just hanging to come hang out with me. Not fair to him, not fair to his brother. How bout no. NOPE NOPE NOPE.

So my husband is so trying to convince me to let his siblings onto the world, and I am so uninterested in a world with siblings. The only compromise I could think of would be to have a world with us two, and then another world with him and his siblings. And that would suck. It really would. Not only would it make his siblings feel like I just didn't want to hang out with them, it would make him torn not between two people, but two actual worlds. >.>
