Launched fine before with other card. Temp card is a xfx radeon 6950.

Directx 11 in dxdiag reports no problems.

Frameworks all installed. No windows updates available that I haven't installed.

Software for card is installed.

redownload the latest direct x (forget dxdiag) and see if it changes

(unless you did that since installing new card?)

Uhh I wouldn't know how to do that.. It ran from my previous card fine last 2 weekends

Uhh I wouldn't know how to do that.. It ran from my previous card fine last 2 weekends

ATI equivilant of nvidia control panel. Problem installed with your new ATI drivers

do what quiz says, update everything again, might be something you might have overlooked... GPU drivers, directX, uh ....

This thread seems to suggest that manually editing your resolution/config might help:

If it's just the resolution that's causing the error then you can change it from that file- or I guess just delete the file and let it rebuild the default- or it should, at least.
