so i've got a generic controller that I can USE on my PC but it's so borked up ... I recall there being a software that emulates the 360 controller (the layout...) but i'm having a massive brain fart when it comes to recalling the name of it :/
Will have to use this crappy controller while I get enough for a wired controller (or if I can con my friend into giving me one of his 8 -_-)

Been well over a year and an expansion or two since I played. It's probably pretty enjoyable now.

Oh I know I didnt get anywhere haha. I couldnt get over the overall look and feel. It felt like a dull looking WoW-Clone, spells took way too long to cast (4 seconds for basic fireball, really?), and the interface just hurt my eyes. I dunno, I think games like TERA have spoiled me.
Maybe I'll give it another shot and stick to it for a bit. -shrug-
Would probably help if I knew what the hell I was doing. I chose Mage (something I don't normally do) and picked the Elementalist path (???).

I really liked RIFT when it came out, I thought the first 20 levels were amazing because there were always alot of people around and rifts to battle.
Once I got out of the starting area past 20 though there was hardly enough people around to do rifts with and it felt very lonely.
Kinda the same problem as colonization reives in XI now that I think about it.
Really loved playing a warden cleric in that game, kinda tempted to play it again since I dont need to pay a sub >.> lol.

Sapphire got bored running one of the Adoulin guilds because there's no content out there.

The rift events and large full zone global events were insanely fun and a great distraction from the quest grind, TBH I think thats why we saw the same system again in GW2 and the FATE system in XIV. Incredibly enjoyable.
It was just the lack of dungeons and what not that failed to keep my interest later on. Can only PvP and do World Events so much :/

I went out and bought a Logitech F310 (about $24) and it's similar to a PS2/3 controller, but it also has the triggers, so I guess that counts as an xbox controller too? Works wonderfully, haven't had an issue with it yet. I use it on my emulators and TERA.
so let's see if this xbox360 thing works :/ finally got it all set up (I remember it being more of a pain in the ***, they've made it better D:)

I played APB and some guy threatened to kill me because he sucked too much at the game and couldn't kill me lol. He said he'd hack me and put child porn on my computer and call the cops >.> Oh and he said he'd hire a hitman to kill me lmao. All this because he died like 8 times

And to be honest the number of dungeons pre-50 is irrelevant. Only need to know the number of late game dungeons. You don't get bored with a game for the most part until after you hit max level and you don't have quest to distract you. At that point that game becomes stagnant.
