Do not resist, resistance will only lead to realization of what isn't to be me, therefore inducing severe disappointment.

So just because someone uses an unethical method, his findings aren't credible? I disagree.
Nazi experimentation, like Magnus pointed out, shows that isn't necessarily true. But unethical methods in today's world would not be seen as credible even if everything else was perfectly sound.

I guess I forgot about fabrication of result falls under the morals and ethics category, because what I said has little to do with that, on that ground I agree with you :3

Would go into more detail you already knew what I meant. :3
Well your original post was pretty broad. I see that you're specifically referring to our basic respect for life, and yeah, if we didn't give a ***about that we'd probably be able to build our own humans from scratch by now. But I would argue that we couldn't just ignore that specific part of ethics without seriously compromising the entire scientific philosophy as a whole.

You guys are making me uneasy about the fact that I signed up for an ethics class this fall.

why is that?

It seems like such a muddled mess of opinions, I don't know how such a class could get graded.

My ethics class was participation-based so as long as you speak up every once in a while and don't sit there texting sexting, you should be good!

Probably true, but I can see a number of breakthroughs being so important that methodology would be overlooked. Which swings us back towards integrity, which I feel is something people can always adjust in certain situations.

I may have been bored and unable to sleep and stumble across this little fact.

Zahrah, this entire time I've been picturing you as a kind, gentle, homey looking woman.

No one told me she was smoking hot.

polar bears are stalked by arctic foxes for leftovers while taking care not to end up as prey on the same time.

Test on prisoners.
How is that any less unethical? XD

Prisoners are generally a detriment to society. They should therefore contribute to the betterment of society. Risk of tests/experiments will correspond to the severity of their crimes.

I'm sure you could twist it around and justify it ti yourself.

Laws are subjective based on that societies morals. Prisoners/criminals are not necessarily a detriment to society. In fact, several criminals throughout history have been incredibly beneficial to humanity.

You are from Australia, did your ancestors leave (or were deported) the UK when it was first colonized?

edit: nevermind you are from Canada, I guess.
