Because they were never truely close to begin with? Just saying that friends who are true friends will always be able to pick up right where they left off. Well, it's a different relationship aspect than that, but I know how that is. I've got a few great friends back home who are like that. I'm more wondering about a girl, which is pretty much the same as what you said. Ah well.
