In a nutshell, it's a social commentary. I'm using some themes I've learned from the Romantics (emphasis on the Bourgeoisie) and the way that Nabokov messes with his audience. Also, I want it to be like the anti-hero's journey where the protagonist goes on a great journey only to not change a thing about himself.

The story itself revolves around a character who is stuck in a New York style city that has been infested with superheroes and villains. He's just a regular guy who has no powers and just wants to live a normal life, and he finds the heroes annoying rather than enjoying them. From there, I haven't exactly figured out what I want to have happen to him, but I know that he's going to be thrown in the fray between these two forces and he wants nothing but to get out of it all and go back home to finish the campaign on his game. Also, it's a heavy emphasis on the narrative. My character writes this in first person, is very unreliable and often interrupts the story to make a few jokes, break the fourth wall or just say something stupid. At one point I even have his roommate take over a little bit while he goes to the bathroom. I think that's why I love writing it so much. It's a ton of fun and I get to make fun of so many things.

once you complete your novel and get it published. you should write a ffxiah drama :P

Well, we have enough background for a plot like that. The major conflict could be the Googleads campaign and the whole out with the old, in with the new. An age of trolls and insults transformed into a spirit of welcome. I could see it.

Hmm, watching those is a good way to see all the roses that I missed on my only play through so far.

I would imagine though, that for the Solaire = saved ending that the guy theorized, the Chosen Undead would have informed Solaire of the events that the Abyss Frampt(carth or whatever) told you. I think the Chosen Undead and Solaire would have searched for a sun together to have light.

Also, I don't think that the endings are ambiguous as the guy feels. It's obvious that the primordial serpents are evil and powerful and from the Abyss(otherwise, how could they persist there?). They manipulate you in either direction, because either way it accomplishes their goal in the end. Usher in an age of darkness and pervert humans into wicked creatures of the Abyss.

Frampt's motivation, to have you kindle the first fire, is to eliminate the threat that you pose, for if they all ushered you to bring the age of Darkness, then the age of Darkness would be suspect. Once you and all the other humans succumb to the darkness and become like the creatures in Oolacile, the serpents then rule.
