It truly is a marvelous concept to help justify the presence of monsters, and is executed very well. All those random encounters really adds weight to the whole scenario of realizing just how many people in Spira have died and have not undergone a proper ritual for the passage to the Farplane.

I truly am excited for the HD re-release.

btw does anyone in here use a wireless adapter for their desktop? and if so which kind? i'm moving to a new house and no ethernet upstairs yay ;/

No release date given yet, so all we have is retail placeholder dates.
Also I use a fairly generic wireless N adapter with an antenna. Works okay, but I'm thinking of upgrading since they're pretty cheap.

This might give you an idea of what to get.

While I like the Japanese voices more for X, I really do think they did a good job for their first game voice acted in English (for FF at least). I played one of my saves for over 300 hours lol, that's more time than I've spent playing Skyrim.

Yeah, the monster capturing and ultimate weapon side quests kept one pretty occupied for the most part without being pressured to complete the game. There was also plenty of lovely side quests and easter eggs like the hidden temple in the Calm Lands and revenge on that sea monster in the Bajj Temple.
