well back to goofing off at work by watching the big bang theory.
I should have started watching this a long time ago. ^ It's like memorial day in the US but a whole week. There are like 4 National Holidays in a row. They just decided to call it good as a week.
*edit* I type slow. Quiznor said: » Bahamut.Jetacku said: » Quiznor said: » Back to watching some more bleach since our local kuchiki-san was all ಠ_ಠ and disappointed in me. Hollow ichigo is much cooler,I like the way he's basically crazy :3 And of course,I love hearing her chant out the entire Demon Magic chants :3 I wouldn't say crazy fits the term. Then again I do enjoy it a bit too. On another note: thanks for reminding me that this weeks episode isn't out (manga) of it, Naruto or One Piece, and I have a sad now. (at least it isn't from the sites I usually check). I'm not only miles behind where the manga is (I dont read it,just going by where I am in the show) but I'm also on a filler section,so probably doesnt exist at all in the manga filler should just die... the only acceptable bleach filler is dealing with Rangiku, mostly because of the bounce. Quote: Golden Week has a reputation for a high rate of suicide in Japan, with special suicide hotlines set up during the week as an attempt to reduce the number of suicides there. Apparently Golden Week is the longest vacation period for many jobs in Japan lol. Here we have lots of national holidays and it comes out to like 5 weeks or something (random days + normal vacation time I guess) Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Quote: Golden Week has a reputation for a high rate of suicide in Japan, with special suicide hotlines set up during the week as an attempt to reduce the number of suicides there. "Oh..." Twice minimum wage here is still a ***hourly wage
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Twice minimum wage here is still a ***hourly wage Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Twice minimum wage here is still a ***hourly wage what's your average rent there /month? 7-800~ for a 2 bedroom? And unless you can buy an apartment, good luck finding somewhere to live that doesn't cost a shitload of money
Bismarck.Dracondria said: » And unless you can buy an apartment, good luck finding somewhere to live that doesn't cost a shitload of money Difficult to find an apartment to rent in Stockholm. If you just wanna rent you have to be on a list or you can rent it from someone else but they usually charge waaaay the *** more money for it but you don't complain because there's a lot of competition.
Apartments here are an insult.
Quote: Short answer: It doesn't. Long answer: Swedish people usually don't rent flats, they buy them. I know it's weird, but this is the way this seems to work here. Only immigrants rent, and the few apartment blocks that are still possible to rent are usually "shady" and have long waiting lists (up to two years is *normal* here!). You probably have the best chances renting a student room, or renting secondhand. There are pages for looking for secondhand rentals too, but I sadly lost the links. If you are a student, ask your student union representative for help. If you're on the renting list you can sometimes wait for 10 years in Stockholm (renting 1st hand) but if you find a 2nd hand place it'll cost you a lot, that's why most people buy apartments kinda like you buy a house. After that the rent is usually pretty cheap. Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Difficult to find an apartment to rent in Stockholm. Edit: Nvm those were student accommodation lol. Bismarck.Dracondria said: » yeah, living around here (in this particular area) is about the same, and minimum wage is $7.65 cost of living has exploded due to the proximity to several area schools. Depends on where you are. A 1 bedroom apartment (tiny) in the city can be like 7000+ a month (that's a full minimum wage at 7.25 an hour in a 40 hour week (I think that's right at least))
It's impossible to live on what you get as minimum wage here unless you have a roommate
Edit: 11000 posts >.> Bismarck.Dracondria said: » It's impossible to live on what you get as minimum wage here unless you have a roommate Its the same here, because a cheap shithole apartment is about 800 a month rent alone (not including bills, food, cost of living, etc) and minimum wage/40hr week makes something like 1100 a month And everything is mad expensive here,so cost of living is *** huge Well we don't have minimum wage in Sweden so we make a lot more than that, and it's possible to live on as long as you find a place with a decent rent. Usually you have to live quite far from the city though (not that it takes long to get back with our trains and buses though)
Morning~ working this bank holiday..but more £ :D

My town also suffers from being the "hotspot" town of the entire country outside of the few main cities,so everything is even more expensive here >_<
There was actually a law until about a year or 2 ago in Ireland that prevents rent prices going down. So even during the downturn when house/apartment prices/values were falling fast, the existing rent was staying the same/going up. It *** alot of people over Quiznor said: » My town also suffers from being the "hotspot" town of the entire country outside of the few main cities,so everything is even more expensive here >_< There was actually a law until about a year or 2 ago in Ireland that prevents rent prices going down. It *** alot of people over We do have certain rent controlled areas though... but that usually keeps the price down... Ours wasnt really supply and demand though. During the boom there was always about 4x as many empty places as there was rented places. Now no one wants to rant and the owners can *** themselves because the same places that were 900,are now 750 as a "saving" and the people are saying "*** you"
We're actually still building apartment buildings and the such... Renting has become the thing for now...
