I think I have a decent bit of a southern accent, but compared to the actual rednecks around here it's non-existent. Though good luck getting to hear one of them, there might be a handful that know how to turn the computer on.

I know exactly what you are talking about Urial. I used to have a very thick southern accent/dialect. Then i joined the military and spent years in other places. My accent has very much died down a bit, but put me next to some people from my home state and holy ***you will lose track of what we are talking about in 5 seconds flat.

I haven't had one since I was 16 trained myself to not have it by talking a lot with my dad since he's from PA. Moved to Hawaii at 18 and everyone was like psh you aren't from GA you have no accent.
Moved back here and was like "WOW I forgot how silly they sound."
My sister has a really thick Australian accent now lol. My dad has mostly lost his unless he speaks to his brothers on the phone.
I love southern accents, just hard to understand if it starts to sound too much like boomhauer ._.
