If I'm in the middle of reading and have to go I will bring it in with me... I would never keep a book in there though.

I don't see it being a problem as long as you're not holding it as you clean yourself up. This kind of reminds me of that stupid "touch free" soap dispensers. Doesn't matter if there's dog ***on top of the pump, it's not gonna matter after the fact since you're washing your hands anyways.

People don't care about that here, but if the water hot and cold handles are filthy and you have to shut them off after you wash your hands? Defeats the purpose.

I usually have to rub the handles a bit while my hands are still soapy, so I end up cleaning them while I clean my hands so I can shut them off without re-infecting my hands. Which I consider excessive to expect most people to do.
Proper procedure is to use a paper towel to shut them off but not everywhere has paper towels these days >.>
