It varies from supplier to supplier, but the cost for a Russian mail-order bride is usually about $25,000 to $50,000 up front. Also, most mail-order brides won't marry someone who earns less than $100,000 a year. (They do ask for evidence of your income.)

BUT: about 95% of mail-order bride companies are actually scammers. You give them the fee, including travel costs, etc. which can be up to $30,000, she shows up, you go through the wedding, and she disappears within hours or days, leaving a note that says she can't leave Dmitri or her son or whoever in Russia. Some men feel sorry for her, and some are too embarrassed to get the police involved. Generally the woman is already married and the wedding is null and void anyway.

How do you spot a scuzzy one? There's no way. I mean, there are some warning signs - guaranteeing you'll get exactly the woman you want (in other words, giving her no say in the transaction), pushing for an early signature on the contract, etc. But even some scammers have no warning signs.

Not really so sure anymore. I mean with shows and media, we see all types of women and guys will say this girl or that girl is hot but it's not like years ago when one girl always stuck out.

and basically since I am not judging by looks, I can't say any of them seem to stand out to me.

I don't know what to think if there was a country that was so poor that it would be legit to marry someone to give them a better life.
