Just watch out and don't fall into the trap of just taking a job that pays less than you can live off of.
I always tell people figure out what is a good amount of money you want to make (not bare minimal) and add 15%. So if you are looking for a job that pays $13, the pay you want is around $14.95.
Also stick around a company that will has options to give raises and not dictate by how the company does and allow some type of advancement. If you don't get that, it'll be a job that will not offer anything for your resume.
May I ask what state you live in?

Well with the summer coming, I would say if you are just posting resume to aim for the Department of Transportation for jobs like road repair. Usually those jobs start out around $14 to $18 for no experience or since you have the option of living at home, try to apply for the CSX railroad if you are near a terminal.
Train conductors are usually around $40K the first year with huge advancements after the first year to two years which allows to get up to $60K pretty fast. If you are a conductor or switchman, you will tend to be held in spots til you get the terminal lights and will be in one spot for hours. I don't know if you are young or not, but rails like getting younger people to develop careers with.
