Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
My macros for SMN were pretty complicated to write, but once implemented, it was super easy to use. There was one macro for summoning each beasty then one that ran through the list of all the blood pacts at the same time. Like on each line it had one blood pact, and etc. By that extension, only one would work depending upon which beasty was out.
Now my RDM macros... those were a bit more difficult. Before casting a spell I had to choose a category first. I had categories like Heal, Buff, Enfeb, and then when I clicked on one of those, it would take me to a subcategory of spells to choose from. Each macro also had a mass of gear changes as well. Then to get back I had a "main" macro. It's hard to use at first because if I need to get a cure off immediately, I have to run through a list of macros to get there, but once I had the locations of the categories and spells memorized, I was flawless. edit: The things I did to play on Xbox... Could go faster than a lot of actual merit parties most of the time, was fun. one of my smn pting experiences was in the mire...a hidden taru smn invited me to the party to main heal. I was like "heck, I'm tired of dieing every hour or so, I have rdm and whm leveled I can main heal fo shizzle"...didn't realize it was a smn that invited me though. the other four members were melee and the smn leader played look-at-me-I'm-a-smn-who-only-uses-avatar-attack-powers while I had to de-silence all the /nins (because thats what everybody subbed) and then cast garuda haste every 5 seconds. I hated them and asked if they could please de-silence 2 DDs and maybe cast another supporting spell while I did the same to the other 2...and they told me that they didn't have any whitemage spells...their /whm was literally like..lvl 11....I was pissed. otherwise, I like being able to say I survived ye old vanadiel days in 2003-2008...I think the last time I played was 2 years ago (watch it be actually like 3 now!) leveling in boyahda tree and valley of sorrows and bibiki bay..nice to reminisce about but after experiencing later years I would not do it again. I mean really...5k exp in 2 hours? that was considered good. Ridiculous. ofcourse I had to quit at the time of abyssea. Around that time good exp was 20k an hour off melee burns...I'm sure if I went back now and did Abyssea I'd be like "how the eff did I survive off 20k/hr!?" I used to play like that on PC, Mag. Then I discovered spellcast and I will never go back. It was part of the reason I hated mage jobs. <.< So many *** gear swaps. Had to time it right too or the effort was moot. Just blaaaaaaah, no. Couldn't do it!
I been playing since US release. None I used to play with play any more but I miss them all. We had the same LS for near 5 years. started out as static leveling LS and by the time toa came out grew to full end game. Was the greatest time all of us playing together. Even though the LS grew we never stopped static leveling at least 2-3 times a week getting exp. Due to that most us had 12+ Jobs 75 when abyssea hit. We just loved doing exp parties I guess. I think because that was so much more social, as a lot of end game can some times get a little stressful. We even did all rank 10 nations together and of course all of ZM, CoP, Toa, Wotg; but for some reason abyssea killed the LS slowly and everyone quit the game. I quit for a good 6+ months as well but came back as I have not much else to do in the winter when I do not work and wife and kids are all busy with school and work. Man when I get to typing it really comes out as a lot of words >.>

I am honestly just not techy enough for all that stuff so I still use old school macro system. Asura.Yomisha said: » I used to play like that on PC, Mag. lol Yeah, Mag. I remember when gear swaps would mess with me too. Those blinky *** were the ones who introduced me to better things though. THANK GOODNESS.

Guess that's my cue too. :D
I'm stayin'. I'm finishin' my coffee.
I'm lurking in and out. Need something to do all night at work. Sure as hell don't have any actual work to do. xD
Edit~ Well, I guess I'm not lurking anymore. Cure cancer. I expect a serum by tomorrow morning.
I will give you a cure if you pay me.... $100 million, in denominations of 1s and you count it in front of me.
I have... a quarter and a nickel. Also, I think it's lint, but it might be a small chunk of cotton candy.
Why do you have "cotton candy" in your pockets?
Why don't you?
Food for thought. Also, for your mouth. i need entertainment D:
I... uh... I... yah, I got nothing.
This isn't entertaining, but it is keeping me busy.
After I have all of these ironed, I will be able to sew them together to make a tiny infant blanket :)
I've been on a Hawken spree. I usually don't like FPS games, but for some reason tossing giant robots into the mix and I love it.
Except Sharpshooters... I *** hate anyone who plays a sharpshooter. Hawken is awesome!
It was my favorite game to play last August. |
