I just feel stupid more than anything if I ever manage and they just shoot even a conversation right down. And I have the sneaking feeling that everyone else saw it and is laughing about it >_>

You could go up to her, suggest a place like a coffee shop to meet and have a chat. Do some jokes, see how she responds. If she remains aloof or teases you or anything like that, tease her back. She's human, just like you, and you can affect her mood/feelings too.

I lack the courage most of the time but wouldn't say it's weird... In the end it will just be a yes or a no. Now a guy asking another guy (or girl asking another girl) is where you get into a whole wide range of possibilities if you don't know how they feel about that. XD

I'm not talking about fate... I'm just talking about the other person wanting to give it a shot or not... if you shoot yourself down before you even get to the first step though how are you going to know if your appealing enough?

Rejection sucks sometimes sure but its going to happen... you just get back up and look to ask out the next one ^^

I just wanna take baby steps xD I used to be super confident about everything,then I lost it all.Was slowly getting it back over 2 years then BAM,all gone again.Only started getting it back recently and I dont wanna rush it or I'll end up losing it all again D:

If it's like a friend of yours that you've known for a while that you're asking out, then this makes perfect sense. If it's just a random girl you're crushing on, chances are that you don't know jack about ***about her. If that's the case, then their opinion of you shouldn't matter too much to you(she could be a serial rapist!). None of us are celebrities or fitness models. You have to edge your personality in, without being overbearing, to even make their opinion matter. Then once you are in... THE WHOLE BOTTLE!

I've no problem (well, far less anyway) asking a girl out who I know fairly well, actually. It's trying to chat up strangers I have trouble with.

Every girl I've dated started out as a friend, actually. They didn't end up being true love or anything. But they ended well, believe it or not. Remained friends until I lost contact with absolutely everyone I knew in high school.
