No problem with DLC but it shouldn't be more than 1$ per map really (Not that 15$ would hurt most people). I guess I can't blame them because millions of people will buy the DLC and they are making a metric ton of profit for just a little work.

People are getting more sick of it. Yearly remakes of CoD with quarterly DLC.
I only see one person that's sick of it.

For almost everyone else, new content is more fun than old content.

This forum =/= the entire gaming community

And yes, New content is fun and it's even better when its free or not cut for a game to essentially milk an extra $15 out of customers.
The only problem I can see here is that you don't understand that Treyarch (And every other video game maker) is a company. They only exist because they want to make money. They don't go around handing out free copies of the game to anyone that says they want to play it, and they don't put in weeks of effort into DLC to give it away for free.

If PS3 has proved anything, it's that you get better services for paying money. That's why PS3's internet sucks and Xbox Live is so much better.

Then why can companies offer new maps, weapons, game modes and other things for free? Look at L4D and L4D2. CSS too.
Because that's Valve. The gaming equivalent of Apple. They get their fans by being nice, not necessarily putting out good products.

Not to say that Half Life 2 or Portal weren't good, but for HL2, you still had to pay for the extra episodes, and for Portal, it was remade for consoles with a few new maps that you had to still pay extra for.

Point still applies. Good content costs money.

i wouldn't exactly say good content costs money

i would just say if you can make money off of it why not

And treyarch are putting out good products? I don't think so tim.

Extra episodes for HL2 were essentially 10-15 hours of gameplay, Extra levels on Portal?

5 maps doesn't equal good content.

While that may be true, it's also true that people will work harder on something knowing they'll get paid. It's the backbone of economy.

Same. I hear people saying the PS3 is worse online, but I've never seen it.

Having played online with people on a PS3 and with people on a 360....

I'd prefer playing with people on teh PS3.

First few times on the 360 on an online game I was met with deafening noise in my ear that made my ears bleed, always full of people bitching and complaining and being idiots.

Haven't encountered that yet on PS3 online games.

Do you have any source and proof to back this up except people on xbox forums saying ps3 internet is slower because it's free?

Downloading 2 gig games off the PSN in 30mins lol

30 minutes?

Try 10 minutes.

Depending on your network speed that is.

I downloaded about 6GB worth of crap the other day in about 1 hour.

If you need proof, you can always google it.

Fact is, Xbox is owned by Microsoft, and they've been the leading edge of basically everything that has used the internet for 15 years. They have many more servers and more knowledge on how to use them.

Edit: And for what it's worth, the people standing up for PS3 (Flion and Catnipthief) are obvious PS3 fanboys.

Google it... that way you can see the countless retards spouting about how their precious system is so much better because of ... what?

I'd rather have some solid proof rather then just some idiot blindly throwing out insults.

A good reason not to support Treyarch:

"The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games." ~ Bobby Kotick

WSJ: If you could snap your fingers, and instantly make one change in your company, what would it be, and why?

Mr. Kotick: I would have Call of Duty be an online subscription service tomorrow. When you think about what the audience’s interests are and how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities, I would love to see us have an online Call of Duty world. I think our players would just have so much of a more compelling experience.

Standing up for something =/= fanboys.

The PC is a better gaming platform anyway. Doesn't make the 360 any better.

Or the PS3 any worse.

£15 is a bit on the high side but not enough to put me off buying it. Black Ops is a great game in my opinion and much better than MW2 - however, MW2 had more of a distinctive feel to it. After thinking about why this is, I decided it comes down to two main points:

1. Guns are samey - maybe it's just me, but using something like the TAR-21 in MW2 was much different from the SCAR-H, and those are two weapons in the same category. RPD was entirely different, snipers were much different... etc. I don't need to go on.

BO: outside of one gun being better than the other, what are the main differences between the Galil, FAMAS and Enfield? In MW2, I could tell you categorically what the difference between the ACR, SCAR-H and AK47 was for instance. Only the M60/Stoner are like proper LMGs. There are like 10 SMGs and most of them handle more or less the same.

That said, I do much prefer the game without Stopping Power. Battles often come down to tactics rather than simply who sees each other first - hipfire being greatly improved on the whole gave less of an advantage to campers when they catch you off guard too, which is nice.

This sadly is unlikely to change greatly over time.

2. Maps lack "flavour". If I say Terminal or Highrise or Rundown or Skidrow to you, you will probably have much stronger impressions of that map than if I say Cracked or Hanoi or Array. In MW2, I loved or hated each map and they felt richer; in BO, with the exception of Array, I'm largely indifferent.

The map pack could fix this.

Way 2 derail a thread guys.
This dlc will cost 7.99 on psn not 15 quid.
So who IS looking forward 2 nazi zombies 6 the addition of the M60 seems confirmed as are either completely new charater models and/or a 5th char.

The quality from a £15 DLC isn't exactly high either. 5 maps aren't exactly a huge deal.

£1 per map I could understand but £15 is stupid.

i was correcting you :P
