Apologies for the shameless plug, but this weeks Fantasy Writ comic was highly inspired by mechanics from both FFXIV and XI, so I thought I would share with others. Fantasy Writ is a MMORPG parody, from the perspective of the NPCs who have had their world invaded by scores of adventurers. I hope someone enjoys it so I can have more then two readers *snicker*

When I saw this topic title, I thought it was going to be about...

Interestingly, DNC AF1 is gender specific. As a result if you use the PlasticSurgeon plugin on Windower to switch you gender, you will be unable to equip your AF1 until you switch it back lol.

Surely plastic surgeon is only client side, while your actual player information is server side?

It's still like that. I know when I used to sport the Mithra look I couldn't wear my hume RSE sachet or rse1/2 etc.

It even says you are a Mithra or whatever race, under profile.

Yup, I've used it and couldn't put on Taru-specific armor.

I have NOT tried putting armor on specific to the race I PS to.

You can't wear any race specific equipment when you change your race with plastic surgeon. :/
