Ok, at first, I thought $300 bucks was way too much for a portable system. Then I read that it has a battery life of 3-5 hours. Was neutral about it til I saw

After watching it, I thought "wow, it's like a portable Wii with the added AR card (which is actually quite interesting and intriguing).

Today, browsing kotaku, I come across this:
http://kotaku.com/5736479/nintendo-bringing-3d-bikinis-to-the-masses

3D TV on my 3DS? (Even if it's only one channel).

So let me get this straight:
3DS advantages are -
* 3D camera
* Ability to control how much 3D there is
* AR cards that you can play 3D video camera games
* Miis that you can share with others just by walking past them
* 3D TV streaming to my 3DS

while disadvantages are -
* 3-5 hours of battery life
* $300 (which right now, this should be in the advantages area with all the cool stuff the 3DS has to offer, 300 bucks is too cheap imo)
* Region Locked
(can't think of any more right now with the given information)

I personally am more excited about the 3DS than I was earlier this year. What about you guys?

Edit: Here's the List of JP launch titles--
Those games are:

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D "The Naked Sample" (Auto Mode)
Winning Eleven 3DSoccer
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
Resident Evil: Revelations
Sengoku Musou Chronicle
Dead or Alive: Dimensions
Ridge Racer 3D
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
nintendogs + cats
Kid Icarus
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Steel Driver
Pilot Wings Resort
AR Games
Nintendo 3DS Camera

The above titles will also be shown in video form as well as Resident Evil: Mercenaries, Super Monkey Ball 3D, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Gundam The 3D Battle, Tales of the Abyss, One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP, Cubic Ninja, Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D, Pro Baseball Famisuta 2011, Animal Resort, Xevious, 3D Beauty Clock, Star Fox 64 3D, Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Mii Plaza.

The fact that its region locked, has a 3-5 hour battery life and is $300 puts me off.

The fact that it has Paper Mario 3DS, Zelda 3DS and other good games turns me on.

So at the moment I'm probably not going to get it at launch because I'm not interested in the line up of games at release, or the gimmicks of 3D cameras and the like.

My bad, forgot to add the launch titles

The games that interest me are Resident Evil: Revelations, Sengoku Musou Chronicle (Dynasty Warriors), Zelda, Dead or Alive, MGS, Street Fighter and Kid Icarus.

It's got a decent selection of launch titles for Japan. I wonder what the US and UK launch titles will be...

Is KH3D just the first one in 3D or is it an entirely new game?

Mega Man Legends 3

I really enjoyed this series, so this made the 3ds a lot more interesting to me.

Edit: Amazon has started taking pre-orders, so I have ordered mine already :)
